Small Fires has been selected as one of five finalists for the 2016 Grand Prix du livre de Montréal! A reception for the finalists will be held at the Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur in Montreal on November 14th, at 11:00 AM, and the winner will be announced.
Small Fires has been selected as a finalist for both the 2016 A.M. Klein Poetry Prize and the 2016 Concordia University First Book Prize! Winners will be announced at the Quebec Writers’ Federation Awards Gala on November 22nd.
Small Fires will be launched at The Word bookstore in Montreal on Wednesday, October 12th, at 7:30 PM. 469 Milton Street, corner of Aylmer. All are welcome!

I’m thrilled to announce that Small Fires, my first collection of poems, will be published by McGill-Queen’s University Press in September 2016, as part of the Hugh MacLennan Poetry Series! The book will be launched in Montreal in the Fall of 2016, and is available for order in North America, the UK, and Europe.
On Tuesday, May 27th, I’ll be reading some poems in the company of Louise Desjardins and Nadine Ltaif at Lapalabrava, a trilingual reading series at Café La Petite Marche. 7 PM, 5035 Rue St. Denis.
The Island Review, an online magazine dedicated to publishing work about, or inspired by, islands, has recently published “At the Seven Churches”, a poem from my manuscript in progress. Many thanks to the editors of this fantastic magazine.

On Friday, October 12th (tomorrow night) I’ll be reading some poems at 2055 rue Bishop (Burritoville) as part of the Lovers and Others reading series. Doors open at 7:00, and the reading starts at 7:30!
